Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD)

Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) refers to a group of complex heterogeneous diseases characterized by diffuse inflammatory and/or fibrotic infiltration of the alveolar sacs of the lung. Optimal management requires a collaborative multi-disciplinary team of clinicians, researchers, and patient advocates dedicated to advancing patient care and discovery.

The program specializes in the comprehensive consultative and longitudinal care of patients with all forms of ILD. We provide state-of-the-art diagnosis and treatment recommendations, working as a team to review each case thoroughly so as to optimize disease and symptom management. The ILD program at McMaster strives to advance patient care, research, education, and leadership in the realm of parenchymal lung disease.
