Welcome to the Molecular Phenotyping and Imaging Core Facility (MPIC)

The Molecular Phenotyping and Imaging Core Facility (MPIC) is overseen by the Firestone Institute for Respiratory Health (FIRH). MPIC performs molecular phenotyping on experimental and clinical research.

Using paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissues, we can create tissue microarrays (TMAs), perform various immunostaining techniques (IHC, ISH, FISH, CTC and Multiplexing) through our sister-Core Facility at McMaster, high-throughput slide scanning and image digitization as well as quantitative tissue analyses for digital pathology.
